Merge BigCommerce and TikTok Shop Sales Data for Tax Prep in France

At tax time you need total revenue by channel without hand-fixing each export's columns first. In France, that also means accounting for TVA (VAT): TVA reporting follows the same EU distance-selling logic as other EU countries, with revenue split by buyer location above the threshold.

Why BigCommerce and TikTok Shop exports don't line up

BigCommerce: an Order Date column that includes a full timestamp; Subtotal and Grand Total both included, which are easy to mix up when mapping; a numeric Order ID.
TikTok Shop: an order creation time stamped in UTC; order amount, platform commission, and affiliate commission split into separate columns; a long numeric Order ID.

Neither export is built with TVA (VAT) in mind, so getting from "two raw files" to "France-ready numbers" means normalizing dates/totals first, then applying your own TVA (VAT) treatment on top of the merged total — not per platform separately.

How to merge them

Set your target columns once in CSV Experts (Date, Channel, Order ID, Total, and a Currency column if you sell in more than EUR).
Map the BigCommerce export, then the TikTok Shop export — each file shape is remembered after the first time.
Export the merged sheet and apply your TVA (VAT) treatment to the combined total.
